How to request full account deletion

You can request that your StayTune account and associated data be permanently deleted in either of these ways:

1. In the StayTune app (recommended): Open the StayTune mobile or web app, go to Settings, then choose Delete account. Follow the steps and confirm. Your account and linked data will be removed within a reasonable time.
2. By email: Send an email to privacy@staytune.in from the address associated with your StayTune account. Include your display name and a clear request to delete your account and data. We will confirm when processing is complete.

Data we delete

When you delete your account, we permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize data tied to you, including:

• Your account identifiers (email, user ID, authentication credentials)
• Profile information (display name, bio, avatar, preferences)
• Social content you created (posts, comments, reactions, reposts, polls, saved items)
• Direct messages and attachments you sent or received
• Discover feed and connection-related activity (follows, invites where stored as personal data)
• Live or audio session participation tied to your account (e.g. listening rooms), where applicable
• In-app notifications and notification preferences
• Creator subscription and billing records associated with your account (subject to legal retention below)
• Media and files you uploaded (photos, audio, video) stored for your account

Data we may keep (and for how long)

We may retain certain information only where required for legal, security, or legitimate operations:

• Legal and compliance: Records we must keep by law (for example tax, disputes, or regulatory requests), typically for the period required in your jurisdiction (e.g. up to several years where mandated).
• Security and abuse prevention: Anonymized or aggregated logs and fraud-related records that do not identify you, for as long as needed to protect the service.
• Backups: Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period (e.g. up to 90 days) before rotation; backups are not used for active product features and are protected like production data.

After deletion

Once your account is deleted, you cannot sign in or recover that data. You may create a new account later; previous content will not be restored. Questions? privacy@staytune.in.
